Guys/gals,
Ive been speaking with Pete at Nippon Auto who does some very nice retrims as per this thread. (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=67964&highlight=retrim)

Right these are his quotes (this is based on an exchange basis)
set of retrimmed seats supplied on exchange basis £495 (this is for fronts and rear)
Logos £15 (total 2 fronts) £25 (total 4 front and rear)
Delivery £10 per 50 miles (note: round trip i.e. 200 miles to and from destination =400 miles cost £80)
Now, the delivery has been stated that it would be £275 if it was just one of us going in for this, However I have arranged a kind of 'group buy' with him, where if we can drum up 3 members (myself being one of them) the delivery is approximately only £120 each :)
When i say delivery i mean he actually comes down (from scotland) to us and fits them for us (i will have to confirm that he fits them, but im sure he does. Failing that im sure we can all clump together and have a seat fitting session. Either way, they are hand delivered by Pete himself)
so for a set of front and rear seats with logos on the front delivered and fitted your looking at a mear £620
Obviously we are going to need a location to make the swap, preliminary it will be in the colchester area but as we get parties put their names down then this location can be changed so that everyone as the least amount of traveling to do.
Well obviosly im in, who else wants in. we only need 3 of this to make it happen :)

I can check fro you buddy, but im fairly sure he wants 3 full jobs. Ill see if what he charges for just the fronts. Go for them both, thats a damn cheap price ;)

Hes just finding out for me and will let me know in a few days, take it as a no for the time being as hes never done alcantara before.

- does he do the door cards and the roof maybe ? if so how much plz?

Whats the quality of the leather like? My supplier uses high quality automotive grade leather.
Any warranty / guarantee? I have not been supplying any warranty/guarantee up till now, however it would be something I'd be prepared to look into.
Price for front only? £340
MAS - this is a seat only thing in affraid. This will proably take place a couple of weeks after we have the numbers finalised, yours will have to be done when everyone elses is done or alternatively there is no reason why another batch of 3+ members can be done at a later date.
I must stress this is a part time thing that Pete does which is why he hasnt a very professional set-up offering guarantees etc, hence the low prices. initally he started out selling seats for the 300zx guys via ebay. He has a cracking feedback (nipponauto) there as too on the 300zx forum. He has assured me he has every confidence in the product he is supplying.
im fairly sure he could offer a decent garentee, such as a years warrenty, which would be fair to everyone involved.
So we need 3+ members in one place at one time with their chosen colour scheme. one more to go.......

If the 3rd member doesnt come foward, then the buy wont go ahead til then :) However it is proably unlikely at this price. Petes contact details are in the link that i first posted. I can confirm that is a seat only thing and he cannot do door cards :)

tbh mate, you maybe better off comming along to the essex meet. As event mods we dont want all and sundery organising meets so this guy can do several meets. Traders pay to sell this kind of thing, this guy doesn't. Simply just want this to be a one off :)

the seats are a easy to get out i'll bring all thats needed and do it if you want? take about about five mins a seat:D

All of the above prices on an exchange basis(j-spec seats drivers electric, manual passenger).
Delivery price £120 per customer (based on 3 customers as above), total £360.
I have had a lot of interest in the Supra retrims so I will definately be gong ahead with this project. I have been in discussions with my supplier and I'm hoping to receive pics of the colours available soon and samples shortly after. Note, leather only available, no alcantara (I can't meet my suppliers minimum order quantity for the alcantara!).
As regards a date I don't want to be too specific till I've actually received the order from my supplier but hopefully around the end of June start of July.
Also as regards using the passenger seats only for the retrim and the exchange of another set of seats none of that should be a problem, although I'd prefer to leave the details until I'm ready to do the retrims.

So let me get this right.
Its 340 for the seats and 120 delivery = 460 right?
And now we don't know when this will happen, Sorry chaps but i can probably get mine done by the bloke who does our trimming for that price. Also is Wayne not doing the same sort of thing but with alcantara possible? Lets see what this bloke says but i'm starting to back away from this deal atm sorry daman if this fucks you about. Lets see how this pans out and how long we have to wait;)

hi mate, as you may remember I showed some interest in the original thread but have remained in contact with Pete.
He has a has a set in cream (the colour I was after for mine) sitting waiting and is sending me out a small sample of the leather.
When I get this I can then confirm if I'm in on this GB as he will be doing mine as part of the Essex run.

One question, on all the shots of Supra front seats the plastic thing on the outside base of the headrest is either missing or covered, what's all that about then?

well delivery was quoted at £275. so with 3 of us that would be £91.66 each or now four of us only £68.75 :)

they look and feel better in the flesh the pictures make them look smart, you will be very pleased with your seats daman, pete was talking about the cream seats and he is still wondering if you want them still so i would give him and bell paul let him know you still want them

Right then, I've been in contact with Pete, the guy who is doing these retrims, for a while discussing colours etc.
He offered to send me down a sample of the cream leather he has so I could see what it looked like as photos don't really show.
This he did and when I said I'm still not sure as the sample might not be big enough to imagine it in the car he then offered to send a whole back panel from the front seat in the same leather!!
This he has done and it arrived today, just opened it and what can I say.......WOW !! The quality is stunning (and I'm renowned for being a fussy bastard) and I have to say that the stitching, quality and the way it's put together is BETTER than the stock leather IMO :) I'm not comparing this new piece to my worn out stocks either as I saw my car when it was brand new as my mate had it then and the leather and stitching is better.
I had my doubts at the terrific price he is doing them for and would be willing to compromise a little on quality but these are really the best I've seen and fantastic for the price:d
Pete is so genuine too, not met him yet but his customer service is second to none, he has sent these two samples since Monday at his cost, the last one being Airmailed down and large!! He doesn't know me yet has trusted me without payment with a large part of one retrim just so I can be satisfied with what I'm ordering.
A great bloke and a terrific group buy.
I just felt I had to give credit to this guy after all he has done so far.

Keen to get mine done. Not in any massive rush tho so when others are next getting this done would suit me.
