Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen!
I would like to start off my new career, with setting up a rolling road day.
The day is the 18th of June, which is a Sunday
Next Saturday I am going to the racingline in Halifax, to have my car looked at, so whilst I am there I will try and secure a killer deal on a rolling road session for members on a certain date.
It would be helpful to see what sort of numbers of people would be interested in such an event to check out the power of thier cars?

Well it was in JTuner, that they RR some cars from one of the Jap car clubs, for about £40 a car, so I will be gunning for this amount on Saturday when I go down. I will make it clear that there is going to be a nice amount of Supras coming down to have a session and it is good publicity for them, especially with one of the most prestigous Jap car clubs!

Will there only be time for a dyno test, or can you enquire as to additional charge for setup of apexi SAFCII. I got it fitted in but need dyno to map it correctly ???

Daz, might be interested depending when. Would be good to meet you Easterners :p and I grew up on the next street so good to pop back to my roots.
I could do with getting the car checked over before the rolling road session though as I've got a "slight" underboost problem.

Right I am back from my fact-finding mission and dyno run. Jim_supra came with me and we are both pleased with the results of the session. The boss, Matt of dyno was effecient, friendly and knows his stuff - he looked through the power plot and suggested places that could be adjusted, which he did sucessfully, providing me with useful bits of information on the way.
So all in all we are impressed and have suggested some dates to him and his staff:

10 cars would be £42.00 per car
15+ cars would be £35.00 per car
Now we would like it to be an all Supra affair, but being open-minded, we would like to offer this to friends of members if they would like to attend?
Matt, has suggested that if we can get over 15 cars, catering would be an option, perhaps a BBQ if the weather is ok?
There is a few people with thier names up already, and I am sure others who are looking for prices.

Sounds great, I'll certainly try and come along. Won't be doing a dyno run though, I know I got 396BHP at Well Lane, and I'm running less power than that now due to a leak somewhere (still) so not much point.

This is awesome we have the right numbers, there is a guy coming with a mate (hopefully) one in a MX6 and the other in a Datsun 280ZX.
Would everybody be happy paying a £10 deposit?

Tom, I am on holiday with Karina and my little brother on the Tuesday, that Squires is on, she has got us a static caravan in the lakes for that whole week! Bit sad I cannot make it as the last one was cool!

I phoned the re spray guy as he has the car, and peter has not looked near.
So it's the paint guy who is holding it up. Tricky thing to get sorted with him when he's doing it for you so cheap.
I'm in at Peter's on 4th July for repairs and upgrades.

He was all clear from wednesday night as i dropped all the stuff off and he had just finished the black one too.

Are you planning on meeting up somewhere to drive down? My mate with the evo 6 is working but another mate might be coming with his Impreza PPP, will let you know. My car has to go to the garage thursday as I have spotted oil on my drive where the rear drivers side wheel is. Think its shocks as the otherside was leaking and was replaced when I had the mot done. Should be back for sunday though.

Everything mechanical is o.k, BOV has been removed and a stock one installed, BC removed. Chris told me to look at the FCD - I think im going to replace my HKS one with a THOR one.
Maybe RR will shed more light on the matter

my dyno was a little lower than I expected but still not to bad I think with some tuning should be able to get it a bit higher, I'm including the dyno from the car two years ago for reference: -

I will be putting my graph up later on, I will be needing to find reasons why, mine was so underpowered. I think part of it was lack of cold air due to the induction kit.
My Supe is an NA, book figure should be around 220bhp and I was making 192.9bhp at the flywheel!

155 bhp, so it still has roughly the same transmission loss for an auto na as normal.
oh, and I compared the dyno sheet to a couple of other NA's and the figures were roughly the same up to around 5000rpm then the power seemed to die off.
from my graph the torque curve levelled off at this point where it should have increased

155@ the wheels doesnt sound drastically underpowered for a N/A auto to me though. if they've worked that out to 192bhp surely thats using the loss calculations for a manual car?
EDIT: there was a post about the power die off in technical recently on N/A's - have a search, I think the solution was pretty straightforward!
