toyota disc changer in boot not working

got my first sup yesterday and its got a toyota headunit with a disc changer in the boot the stereo comes on but i cant get the changer to eject the disc tray part any ideas on how they stop working or is there a certain way to turn it on thanks

It should be powered all the time, mine used to be anyway - I could eject the tray without having the ignition on anyway.

I presume you are pushing the button rather than just opening the cover and expecting it to pop out?

the covers not there but the disc trays still init i press the eject button and nothings happening

the tray could have popped off its rails my jvc used to
