Thank God I decided to check before the start of the new week --- rear, driver's side, on close inspection it's got a screw in it. Didn't even look lopsided, or deflated.

Scary, huh?

As I do a lot of motorway miles every day, on occasion I give it some stick. This would lead to a rear blowout, probably losing the car and who knows what else.

Yes, and pretty it wasn't.

After a few miles on the M25, once I booted it tomorrow early morning it would overheat and *boom*

Kaput.

(that is if I didn't feel something wrong in the meantime of course)
