charlton
I'm after a cold air ram feed thingy for my HKS air filter like this one... http://www.envyperformance.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1064 The Supe's a N/A and I love the sound it makes when its cold so I've gotta get more cold air fed to it when the engine is hot. I cant seem to find one for it, its probably due to the fact I dont really know what its called. Can anyone point me in the right direction or would you recommend making something myself out of fibreglass?
charlton
It looks like I'm on my own.... Will have to go Blue Peter style, where's the paper and sissors....?
merckx
Do you mean a box with vertical sides with seals that go up against the bonnet? The air intake of the car feeds into it and it keeps the hot air from the engine bay out
charlton
anything really, as long as I can hook it up to a vent on my bumper and keep the hot air out and the cold in
merckx
MVP used to do them, but I can't see them on their website. Some make their own. Someone might turn up shortly and tell you where you can get them.

dangerous brain
If thats all there is to it that shouldn't be that hard to make. I could knock that up at work if you gave me a cardboard template. You'd have to polish the thing yourself as I don't go in for slave labour Be rivetted not welded as well and you'd have to do the pipework stuff
SimonB
i like this idea by simon 2nd post down http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=65626&page=4 Why thank you! I still haven't made the actual air box itself yet, I bloody hate making cardboard templates, especially when it's an awkward shape where the pipe goes in at an angle! I always get impatiant and cut too much out and then have to start again...
dangerous brain
I have access to an ally shop at work. The welding aspect is expensive (we trade in favours at work and welding is the most expensive favour)
