Troubles with 3rd

Hi guys

Went for a fun drive last night and ran into a problem that made me need new pants, came to a corner quite rapidly in 4th went to drop it down to 3rd however the bugger just wouldnt go in it was as if I was tring 1st good thing the soop can go round corners fast as in my panic forgot to hit the breaks, it also happend again when changing up as well.

Now could this be

1) Me being crap at changing gear fast
2) Step away from the supra and p/x for a micra
3) Gearbox oil
4) Get it checked out

I would get the gearbox oil changed first, as this can have a big effect on the feel and function of the gear shifts. Re fill with new Toyota V160 oil.

how many liters do I need just popped down to Mr T unfortunatly they were shutting up but the guy thought its around £7 a liter is this about right?

Are you sure you weren't going too fast to put it in to that gear although you shouldn't have that problem going up through the gears, what happens when you change at normal speed ?
Does v160 work with the 5 speed box ?
