Stock LSD any setup required...........

I am considering putting a Manual diff inside my auto case.

When recasing the stock LSD like this, is there any setting up of the diff that needs to be done?

i dont think there is mate, its only the plate type diffs that have their preloads setup.

Some diff's requre shimming to achive the correct mesh. I need to know if the MKIV one does.

It'll need the pinion height and preload setting, and the crownwheel to pinion backlash setting. PITA.

Thanks Chris, Ill think ill dump the diff cooler then and use the J-spec diff as intended.

Im sure you would approve of this weight saving measure ;)
