What the ....beep... were Toyota thinking, when they fitted the wimpiest ....beeping... excuse for a ...beeping.... horn in our Supras :complain:
Here is the answer, a Toyota premium horn kit, this is plug and play straight swap for the standard Supra horns and includes everything needed; 2 x horns, harness and fittings. Sound is loud and deep, similar to most modern European and Lexus models.
Price £49/AU$118 including airmail to either UK or Australia

I have a FMIC panel fitted also (pic takn before fitting), if you slightly bend the brackets of the horn downwards, there is just enough room to fit both horns underneath the panel.

Nic, is it only this front horn which blows/sounds when you press the horn buttons ?

I have just received notification of a pending transfer, it says it will take 7-9 working days to confirm payment (must not be sufficient funds in your PP account so needs to transfer money from your card). I will place the order and trust that the transfer will clear, the parts will take 4-5 weeks to order so it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, the paracetamol box is to gauge size of the horn - 69mm
They don't come with the kit from Nic just incase you test them out too much! :p
Note: Toyota GB have never ordered this part

Fitted mine today - a vast improvement over standard.
I'll need to mod the brackets to fit it with my FMIC plate though, no way it's going on there at the moment, either that or extend the earth and mount them elsewhere... I can't wait to head out and toot a few fools :)
Fitted - needs a little DIY to get it to fit under the CF FMIC panells. Will beep someone tomorrow :d

ignore the above, i just collected it from the post office.....hopefully will be fitted tonight.
was shown just how much i need it as on the way there some bint in a volvo estate with a tow-bar decided to stop after missing a turn off and then promptly reverse into me!! luckily she was only going very slowly but she didn't even hear me beeping the horn at her.
received mine today,nic. Hopefully will have them fitted soon.
Any sign of the AUTO GEAR KNOBS yet ???

Thanks Nic. Got it fitted to the Aristo 30 mins after getting, my car had all the wiring in for it, two bolts and connect up, took all of 5 mins!

Fitted mine last night and sounds quite loud at 11.45pm. Had all the neighbours looking out their windows ( I bet I was popular again !!! )
Fitted one of mine in the existing horn bolt and the other to a square metal section below the Toyota logo panel (about 3 inches in front of existing horn)
Quite fiddly to bolt to but a bit of patience is required - took about 10 mins.
Be carefully with the bonnet release hook.

Although I missed our latest meet (on holiday),it looked as if everyone had a great time - see National Events/Scotland. It actually looked as if theyhad Western Aussie weather.

Sorry dude - its hard to tell the difference between them on the recording, though there is a HUGE difference when you hear them in person :D
I just have a dodgy mic on my digi vid cam sorry dude.
