Pixelfill Posted April 17, 2006 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Installed a 2 gauge pillar pod housing Defis (Turbo and Oil Temp) wired in the controller, and wired in an AEM UEGO controller. Busy boy on Friday, then spent the rest of the weekend doing family things, and went for a couple of blasts in the car trying to 'Teach' the ECU what it needed to know after the battery disconnect. Wez Posted April 17, 2006 Author Share Posted April 17, 2006 Hey Matt, Did really well actually, but now have very sore dirty hands :- * installed new fuel rail with 650cc inj * installed stock fpr (removed pbv) * complete front indicator mod * installed hard pipe kit * redo turbo hosing * fix high idle on startup (no longer hitting 1900rpm) * sorted out AFR at idle (14.5 - 14.7) * installed new throttle body Funnily enough when I replaced the PBV with the stock regulator it fixed my stumble from throttle tip in, it would appear that the PBV was dumping lots of fuel causing it to go silly rich and stumble. Mike Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 well I completed a difficult 'bulb replacement' install to the rear cluster that's been annoying me for a while... and then after a couple of seconds observation in Halfrauds car park, I decided to replace the corresponding bulb on the other side, as one was now very marginally brighter than the other, even though it hadn't 'gone'.... Guest Terry S Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 not this weekend ( Friday before), but changed the cams and springs & retainers on the VVTi and now the frigging VVTi unit is having a fit. Pain in the arse springs to mind. Was on Steve's car (Black Cat). A retaining clip wasn't supplied with the clutch and wasn't noticed till on and everything put back Was really good to do as i learnt alot. I started polishing some engine parts up. Pulled my Emanage and AEM wideband out and wired in my new Emanage ultimate & Innovate LC1 wideband in. Even with a Fields harness it took bloody ages. I never want to crimp another connector in my life! Today I got all that stuff back in the car and it running, then tidied up the front of my garage, pulled the nose of the car in and started dismantling stuff.
