Hi, Just spent another stupid amount of money on two new eagle f1's for my soop. While i was in there i had a look at some other tyres and couldnt believe the variation in tyre widths for any given size !

For example, My 275 30 19 F1's compared to falkan FK 451's in exacly the same size. The f1's literally had over an inch more rubber in contact with the road!!

My point is..surely 275 means 275, how do they get away with it ?

Did you compare them both fitted on a rim of similar size and inflated properly?

I actualy had one of the falkens fitted to one of my rims (thought about the cheaper option) when i noticed the differance and quickly changed my mind.

I suppose you get what you pay for...but i thought it would be in the quality of the rubber not actually get less rubber!
