While i was in there i had a look at some other tyres and couldnt believe the variation in tyre widths for any given size ! For example, My 275 30 19 F1's compared to falkan FK 451's in exacly the same size. The f1's literally had over an inch more rubber in contact with the road!! I actualy had one of the falkens fitted to one of my rims (thought about the cheaper option) when i noticed the differance and quickly changed my mind. mikeyh Posted April 11, 2006 Share Posted April 11, 2006 thats because the old tyres have been inflated and been used. where as the new ones have just come from factory being stacked on top of each other whilst still warm once inflated they will be exactly the same.
