Stolichnya Posted April 5, 2006 Share Posted April 5, 2006 Morning all, i have a 97 VVTi 6spd manual import and would like to upgrade the brake discs and pads as mine fade quite badly when pushing a bit, want a tad more confidence. Anyone know of a good place to get vented & drilled discs and fast road pads? Any part numbers and phone numbers of companies that supply? I thought they might be much more effective with grooved/vented discs too? is there a specific brake fluid to go to? Ian W Posted April 5, 2006 Share Posted April 5, 2006 email Chris Wilson (not PM!), he'll advise you accordingly and no part numbers required (just whether jspec or UK spec). from memory he'll prescribe his fast road pads, stock discs, motul RBF600 fluid and if possible some braided lines. In terms of value for money, the stock discs are the best to go for, if you are prepared to pay 2-3 times the price, then I would recommend a set of Project Mu or Endless 2 piece discs. These are quite a bit lighter than stock and the discs can be replaced.
