Strange one this.

When my steering wheel is centered my horn doesn't work, yet when i turn the wheel hard left or hard right (obviously when I'm not driving) it works. I'ved check the connections to the horn which are fine.

Anyone got any ideas??

Witnesses reported seeing a Supra swerving twice before hitting the pedestrian in the red miniskirt....

I've seen this on lorries - the outcome was the horn (which is on your steering wheel) uses the steering shaft to send the power through as it's a moving part (hope you understand that). So what sounds like has happened is that the wire which would touch the shaft has worn down and is having trouble getting a connection (have i lost you yet). My advice would be to take the horn cover off and follow the wires then you should find a bolt, which if you remove, would have the wire or brushes on it. It is these that you would need to replace or repair. I'm not sure if that crosses over (from lorries to cars) but the principle of the horn is the same on both vehicles. I hope this helps (from my limited lorry knowledge) ;)

certainly sounds like a loose connection
