19" wheel width?

After much searching I've decided to get the Volk GT-C in 19" :D

It's available in 8.0", 8.5", 9.5" and 10.5".

I'm thinking of going 8.5" front and 10.5" rear.

I don't think there's any need to go wider at the front if I use a 245 tyre.

The rear at 10.5" should take a 275 tyre min which I might start with incase there's any clearance issues.

The 10.5" wheel is available in a 47mm offset, the main question is - will it with a 275 or wider tyre stay under the wheel arch, I don't want it to look stupid.

Don't really want to go for a 9.5" rear as it would only take a 275 max.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated.

Thanks

I like those!

I agree, you don't need any more than 8½" wide for 245 section tyres. I use 255/40/18 tyres on my 8½" front wheels.

Don't really want to go for a 9.5" rear as it would only take a 275 max.
285s are alright on 9½" but that's about the maximum, as you say 10" or 10½" would be better.

Brilliant! :urock: :thanks:

Didn't have a clue how to do it so professinally like that! :)

Can't wait!

No probs, that's one of the better photoshops i've done so far, I still need a load more practice to be as good as Trig though!

It will look stunning!

Rays recommend these sizes, for the Volk GT-C wheels on the Supra. I'd go with their recommendation, as these will definitely clear the 4 pot front calipers.

Front: 18 x 9 +42 Disc A

Rear: 18 x 10 +47 Disc C

I can get very good deals on all Rays wheels, if anyone is looking for some.

Hi Nic

Do Rays actually recommend a width for the Supra, would you mind sending me the details. Just that I've heard conflicting opinions , a bloke on Supraforums said that Volk recommended a 8.5" & 9.5" for another wheel.

I was going to ask you for a price/ delivery time etc, just wanted to 100% sure of the wheel and corresponding tyre sizes first .:)

Thanks

Thanks Nic :)

Only one thing, I want to have the face 2 wheel on the back (like in the pic at the start of the thread, it has concave spokes which look nicer)

But the tables say I should get a 9.5" rear and not 10.5".

The fella who has the quicksilver car is running a 10.5", from the offset tables I've got it's the same as the 9.5" at 37mm.

I've sent him pm's and emails to ask about the fitment, but he's not replying even though he's been online. " S]oLiD " on the Australian Supraforums.

Don't want a 9.5 at the rear as it wil limit the tyre width. :)

dont know if this helps, i have 9.5" rears with 19" diameter with offset of 35 and with 275 tyres and the wheels rubbed the arch quite abit, i had to trim the arches.

That does help, thanks very much.:)

I wished they did a larger offset.:(

Just don't know what to do for the best.
