What make of window tint?

Thinking of tinting the supe, can anyone recoomend a brand of tints to use??

getting tints this friday put on. when you say dont do the back window, do you mean dont do it yourself or that its a pain to see out of?

I think they mean don't do it yourself. I wouldn't fancy doing it. Mine was already done so result.

Its not bad to see out of at all either.

i see your drivers side windows are done too. what they like for seeing out of? i only ask coz im getting the lot done. what % do you have?

They look dark as hell from the outside but from the inside its surprising how easy it is too see out of.

They don't seem dark at all from the inside.

Whoever put it on did a really really good job.

Had mine done a few weeks back, 50% front & 80% back. Suprisingly easy to see out of, but does look nice from outside. Love it !!!

You all realise tinting the front side windows is illegal now right? In theory they can impound your car until it's removed, although more likely you'll get a 7 day jobbie. With 50% front you're bound to get pulled over I would have thought...

i know someone in a skyline who got 6 points for tinting his windscreen,

basically he was told it invalidated his insurance, so he was done for no insurance. then a week later he had 3 more points for jumping an amber light.

9 points in 2 weeks... poor bloke

yup, if any on the front windows at all just the very lightest smoke which although illegal is less likely to get you pulled over.

IMHO it al depends on your local police force the last few cars i've had have been tinted at the front and i've had no problems... but then again they might get arsey with the supe:blink:

btw MRX what make of tint have you got on?

was going to go for a medium tint all round. i thought it was just a seven day lobbie too i didnt think you could get points for it damn!

thing is im getting them for free and fitted, well not free coz im owed something so thought the whole of the car can get done. i see cars all round brighton with tints all round so like you say its just down to the copper at the time.

guess just have your windows down if you see them and got time to do it

All depends if you wear burberry a lot and do crap donuts in shopping mall carparks - drive like a tit and get noticed:rolleyes: I've had my tints for about 2 years now (back windscreen 95% block), never had any interest from dibble at all....

As long as you dont drive like a twat and draw undue attention to yourself then you probably wont get any grief over them...

My car got imported in 2000 complete with dark tints front and rear and its never been stopped. However in the dark it is a PITA to see out of at junctions, i usually have to open the windows to be 'safe'.

fair points. i drive under 80 most the time i TRY to drive quitely round town etc so hope i wont get attention. does anyone without tints think that the supra sits at just the right hight to get blinded by traffic behind at night and will tints stop some of this unwanted light?
