Hi All, there must be 100,s of different Alloy Wheels out there !

Prices vary from £100 to £1000 per wheel, so what makes an alloy wheel worth this price range ?

Paul Whiffin has some Ultralites which I like the look off, in BLACK I thing they could pass for Racing Harts C4-R but at under half the price ?

Give me some feedback or is it simply PRIMARK verses NIKE and you pay for a name ?

Cheaper wheels are generally cast to form the shape.

The more expensive ones are generally forged, for the same shape wheel they will be stronger.

I got some Alessio wheels for the van, the paint has flaked off in large pieces. I wouldn't expect this with more expensive wheels.

If you're not sure about the quality/durability of a particular wheel then ask a few questions on the car forums. Mention salt on the roads etc.

I had my heart set on some Racing Harts, turns out they don't look too good when used during the average British winter.
