I have recently got this motor and wondering what a few of the buttons are.....

first one is a red button in front of the gearstick just has a few japanese sqiggles in front of it ?

second one is a button next to the gearstick that says "manu" on it ....... i assume that isnt a setting for manchester united fans so what is it ?

Apologies if these questions make me look like a simpleton but I have never had an auto before and have tried pushing the buttons but they seem to do nowt !!!

I have the manual but unfortunatly dont have the time to learn japanese.

I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

Hi and welcome to the club,

The red button allows you to take the car out of gear while the engine is off - if you need to.

The Manu button allows you to change gear using the gear stick - effectively turning your car into a 3 speed manual. O/D doesn't work in manual.

The Search button allows you to find answers to many questions, including the two most common first posts by new members :D

Unfortunately pretty much every new auto owner asks these questions so you will likely get a few tongue in cheek answers.

you can't upload a custom avatar until you become a full member. when you are you can do it from your controlpanel (User CP) / Edit Avatar / Use Custom Avatar - here
