they cute :)
Was so tough choosing the ridgeback, there were 2 boys, the other was smaller and not as nicely marked but he was such a character. Mine ate some shoelaces then crawled into my arms and fell asleep instantly

Very cute, it's not when they're older you need to worry about, it's all the shitting, peeing and chewing they do when they're young :D
ok il post some pics of my white wolf and my small dog tommorow:search:
Rosie they are adorable. How about Howie and Oscar?? :)

very cute. :)
our staffy cross was called oscar :(
but a great name, it just suited him somehow :)
Nice Rosie, very cute puppies :innocent:
How about Podge and Pudge.
I have always wanted a Rhodesian, great dog. When they get bigger they are a seriously powerful dog. I would feal a little bit sorry for any one trying to break into your house. His quarry as a hound included lions.... :)
The sharp blade like ridge they have on their back also looks cool :D
A very dignified dog according to its breaders.
The dobie looks very cute.
Don't know your experiences with dogs but if you want any tips for training them please ask :)

Quite a lot but not had these breeds in the immediate family before, we are confident about it but also aren't stupid enough to not seek advice if somethings not going according to plan, the last thing we want is 2 big dogs that are a liability.

They look lovely, how come you decided to get two?
Partly for company, partly because I'm a bit anal about training so I won't have anyone to blame but myself, partly because we couldn't decide between breeds.
Im very jealous, i always wanted a rhodesian, gorgeous dogs.
A friend of my old man had 2 and he used to use them to help him with his rugby training, they were the scrum :D
How big are mum and dad ?
mum was a fairly small, well, small isn't the right word!! And it is her first litter so the breeder didn't want a big dog as a first litter but he isn't exactly small, he's very well built for sure, was at crufts this year. I'd say mum was about 24". Out of the litter though, they were all a similar size apart from 2 of the boys who are huge in comparison- one of them being mine so fingers crossed he will be a big boy!!
Looking at the size of the feet in the last pic thats gonna be one big dog :)
He is soooo chubby, I couldn't believe how heavy he was, probably twice what the Dobie weighed!!
meowwww. the last pic seems to be eating someones hand:hide:
Now they're just cute, but by the looks of them paws, their gonna be like small donkey's when they're older.
One of my mates has got a big hairy brown dog, can't remember the breed, but its the size of a bear!! If it wants to sit on your lap, you can't really argue with it!!

They will be trained to not sit on laps. Will be difficult to resist when they are cute cuddly pudgy puppies but it will be best in the long run.
Going to visit them again on Saturday- yay!
Bet you can't resist it tho! They'll be on your lap within an hour of being home!! :)

not on the sofa they won't be!!
not fair on them, my friend used to have her puppy on her lap when she drove, then told him off when he used to try and get on her lap when he grew up :twak:

aww the puppies are gorgeous and are my two favourite breeds of dog, i love big dogs but have a Yorkie, he doesn't get on with other dogs so can only have him. Hope to have a Rhodey one day though. :)
Went to visit them again, Dobe is impossible to photograph - he just won't keep still!!
Got loads of vids but they are all to big to put here :(
Ridgeback sleeping on top of his siblings and looking all cute having a cuddle... shortly before he went to sleep again...
Very cute! How many weeks old? You can tell fromt he paws the Ridgeback is going to be a monster!
From you names list, Rogue looks like it would suit him.
He is 7 weeks ish old, Dobe is just shy of a week older I think.
Stig is winning at the mo for the Ridge!
Well we leave in a hour to collect them!!
Been busy puppy proofing the house, here is their bed area :)

No worries :)

with cars painted on:)
not being rude but that is a bad place to build a dog house, your kitchen will constantly smell bad due to dog piss
Well we were planning on house training them to be fair ;)
All the other rooms are carpeted and we spend a lot of time in the kitchen and it opens directly into the garden and we could spare 5' x 5'.5'' as the kitchen is big. So really it was the best choice.
ALso it's not a dog house it's their sleeping area as the house is open plan and they need to learn where they are allowed and where they are not.
Where would you have them?

Supras you mean? :)

You'll be up til 3 am playing with em! Photos later please! (Of the dogs before any of you comment!)

I'm soooo nervous. We are armed to the eyeballs with old towels, newspaper, cardboard etc etc for the vomit and wee and poo on the way home!!
Yes must put my camera on charge!

its ok for a while i suppose but best bet is to build a brick hut and the back of your garden, thats what we have done with our two dogs

I'm bloomin nervous now I tell you!!!
Leaving now!! Yikes!
I like the name Diogi that's cool, would you pronounce it with emphasis on the 'O' (DiOgi), or the 'G' (like spelling 'dog')?
Been busy puppy proofing the house, here is their bed area :)
Perfect :) Don't fancy the chances of that blind over the door lasting more than a few days though:d
Hehe,
Just seen this thread, both beautiful dogs. I had 2 dobby's male and female, both sadly passed on now. Keep an eye on him, mine destroyed loads the first month or to, washing machine knobs and the entire back of a new sofa.
lol. They were lucky to be alive on that day :d ..
Best of luck, you made me jealous now
Si
Sorry!!! Been a bit occupied.
Unbelievable- car broke down on the way to get them! Stopped at the services went to start it... BANG. Battery exploded. Called AA, membership had expired so it cost me £200 to get them out and to fit a battery. Nice.
Stig (ridgeback) slept all the way home, didn't wee, poo or vomit bless him. Raptor (dobe) whined and barked and weed and pooed like a good un.
Made a lot of noise when we left them to have our dinner for a good 40 mins then put them to bed later and they didn't make a sound all night, not a peep, in fact we woke them up this morning for breakfast!
Been playing all day, been to the vets, been out in the car they are both great travellers not at all sick, Stig just lies flat out and snores and eventually Raptor joins him.
Just downloading some pics now!!!
Gorgeous !! :d
Hope you have many years of fun out of them, they look cracking dogs. The best bit is watching their characters come out, they're all different.
Give 'em a cuddle from me ;)

Can't wait!! Want to go walkies! Besides, they're nuts!! ;)
How are things going with the dogs Rosie? I ask as I'm considering getting a ridgeback myself...How is he, is he well behaved? How is he with other dogs and children? Any chance of seeing some more pictures? :D
He is amazing. I wish we had got 2 of them with hindsight!! He's just about fully grown now and absolutely gorgeous. He's chilled out at home but always up for long walks, bags of charactor, intellegent etc etc.
He's fine with everything. Almost too enthusiastic, he tends to want to lick babies/kids in the face and his tail is a crazy whip. Same with dogs, he's all over them but he's still a baby so that excitement will calm down more.
Here are some of the most recent ones I have
