Can anyone give me a pic of where an oil pressure sensor would go. I just bought a pillar pod and a couple of gauges and looking to fit them this weekend. Also do I need to buy and adaptors or anything.

Dude you need a sandwhich adaptor really to go between the block and the filter.

I bought one of these it has x3 take-offs.
Is this the only way fo doing this. Ive read something on the forum about a lexus splitter connector or something that branches from the oragional oil sensor.

Why not buy the sandwich plate?
I have had mine on a year and have had no problems whatsoever.
Besides you might want to fit another gauge? Like oil temp?
TBH I never use the water temp gauge, I do not drive my car hard until the oil is about 60 degrees.
The Sandwich plate is a piece of piss to fit as well.
Ive just ordered a union bolt, gasket and o ring from Hodgson Toyota in Gateshead they cost me nearly £35 for the lot hopfully theyll be here by wednesday.
I don't know how these fit but i was told the best place to fit one is over the turbo side of the engine as this is the last place to get oil and the first place to see if pressure drops off.
pics as promised Hodge, basically went in from the top, you have to take off everything you can to get to it, undo the PAS reservoir and tie it forward out of the way (no need to remove it) it shouldn't leak whatever orientation it is but put a rag under it just in case, pop the plastic bracket off (marked in yellow, then gasp in awe at my photo shop skills lol) push it out of the way, there are loads of small hoses (blue arrows) mark em up and remove ALL of them in that area, blank off any open ends as you dont want shit gettin in, i'me sure i used 2 short 1/2" drive extension bars with a universal joint but couldn't swear on this, for f**ks sake thougherly clean all the shit and crud thats collected behind the filter housing before you undo anything, buy a can of Jizer and blast the lot at it, i cant stress this bit enough you dont want any grit getting into the engine, you need to change the big "O" ring that seals the housing to the block it is possible to get it in position with the filter housing pulled forward and best to "stick" it in place with a little dab of silicone grease (halfords i think) if your in any doubt the "O" ring isnt in position once you've tightened the housing back up (with the new bolt) take it off and check it, if its not in position you will piss all your oil out very quickly, hope this helps mate, dont be put off its not a hard job just a bit fiddly, any more questions give me a shout
