i remember a reference to this the other day but there was no answer. does anyone know what the resistance should be across the coil packs? trying to pin point a misfire. :(

I've been trying to find this out for months....:(
Only suggestions are to find someone who will allow you to use their packs for a test on your car...fussy.
Have you checked for cracks in the plug-cap part of your packs?... that's usually where the things break down. Also check your LT connectors.

Afterthought, check your plugs for tightness. If one is loose it could cause problems under load.

ABSXXX on here can test them....just checking resistance isn't enough.

the only way to check coilpacks is using a automotive scope and checking the waveforms as they are firing. even faulty coilpacks give a good resistance reading.

Dude, you need to offer a testing service, I think you'll make some good pocket money ;)

Hussein tested a set of mine for me, he's a top bloke :)
