I want to convert speedo from kmh to mph in my Supra, is it just a case of fitting a micro chip as per other jap imports, does it put car onto full power instead of restricting to 118mph. Who is a good supplier of the chips ?? last question, car came over with certificate for mileage, only done 80k, how do you recalibrate this to miles ??:(

Thor do a superb converter that converts to MPH and derestricts.

Its about £100.00

Have a look at Thor on the traders section.

Not sure about the mileage being changed!

I got ridiculous quotes to get this done, ended up wiring the converter in so the speedo was in mph but the odo still counted up in kms to keep things simple.

I bought a little chip box from amber performance and was about 40-80 quid if i remember rightly (was three year ago). Took to garage and they said it was really easy to fit, just connected to a certain wire going to speedo. Not sure if the odo is readin in miles though but it does seem to be still in k's but that aint no problem :) not sure bout the destriction though, i think i remember it sayin that it did de-restrict but my car was never retricted in the first place
