Spacings on reg plates

Anybody know if the boys in blue frown upon and pullover people for plates that are otherwise laid out as per dvla rules but have custom spacing? Anybody been pulled for this?

Eg. K7O GT

or for the rear

K7O

GT

That is an 'O' not a zero. Pushing it next to the first set of numbers rather than having it as the last 3 as normal.

If you do get pulled, you'll usually get a Vehicle Defect Rectification Notice, which gives you a chance to put the "fault" right, get the "fault" tested at a MOT station at your expense and send the bit of paper off.

However, if you are a persistant offender you'll have your plate withdrawn from use and a Q plate attached to your car.
