Another project.. Ram air headlight

well peeps this is someting i have been working on, not quite finishedand still in early development stages..... if you have any tips they are most wecome.

the inside of the pipe will be sprayed silver and a c/f trim around the outside of the pipe and mesh on the inside of the light to stop any stones etc finding there way into the engine bay and cuasing damage..

Yes I had done this last year and the best tubing I could find was 5" drain pipe from B&Q. Painded it Blue and then used a flat arcrlic base, and welded it to the tube.

Burt I did one of these about 5 years ago, worked well, but there are other alternatives now.

why not just scoop from below the light?

I use a feed from one of the Bomex vents directed to the compressor hsg. My K&N is mounted where the old SMIC was, so breaths cold air. (you can just see the white pipework in the pic.)

Burt - got this done in the car I'm picking up tomorrow. Its a bugger to seal apparantly and if not done right will cause condensation in the headlight.

Incorporate it into the tiled wall and it could make a handy serving hatch for passing hot beverages to a loved one
