powder coated or polished

Just been to see one of my mates about polishing my alloy turbo piping and he said he could do it but then said he could also get it powder coated.

What do you think would look best i ve not seen them powder coated so would look diffrent:rolleyes:

have not spoke to anybody else about pollishing, was going to have ago my self i ve got all the mop's and pollishing wax at work but its just finding time to do it:(

I have just had a throttle body and inlet manifold done using both methods (powder coating and polishing) and it looks superb. I would highly reccomend Colsoop for his quality and service.

I think so too. And after seeing his work on the other polished things I have bought, I know the quality will be superb.

thats the sort of thing i had in mind when i said a mixture.

i've got my turbo pipes, inlet manifold and tb pollished but i'm thinking of breaking thins up with some red powder coating

Thanks cj, the intake manifold is polished then chromed, then i maksed it off to have powder coated it was a pain as the glue from the masking tape stuck to the chrome so i had to go over it with a very softmop .

It is definitely the way to go, you can have too much bling and braking up the shine with colours is a good thing :)the trick is getting enough layers of masking tape on the part as it is sand blasted before being coated to clean the surface up and if you dont have enough tape then you have problems.

i did my polishing with a dremmel type tool and bench grinder.a lot of hard work when you not got right tools.good when you see the final product

eyefi has his manifold and bits done in white heat coating looks good
