charlton
before I buy it, were Supra TT's made in a JZ version/spec? I know it was made in RZ/RZ-S or GZ spec but didn't know it was also a JZ - whats the difference?
edd_t
erm, JZ as in JZA80 is the model number. not really the same as RZ and GZ. i think anyway. RZ and GZ are to do with what you get, like TT, NA, auto or manual stuff like that. could be wrong!
Homer
The model number on all supras is JZA80-***** The ***** part defines whether it's RZ/GZ/SZ/RZS/SZR, manual/auto, hardtop/aero, etc As an exmaple, my RZ is JZA80-ALFQZ. Make sure you take a note of all the vin plate details and puit them into DIgsy's calculator here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41702&highlight to ensure the car checks out.
