When can you hear turbo one?

Like the title asks,when can you hear turbo one. I can only hear it at just before 2000 rpm.

I'm pretty sure that it was lower before today.

I thought no.1 starts spooling about 1500 rpm, but i dont start to see any boost until 2000rpm.

That seems about right. The other night, very late at night, I stopped at the start of a DCW and pressed the loud pedal fairly gently, just increasing slightly over time so as too avoid dropping into overdrive.

I noticed this:

Increase in speed with no extra throttle at 1500+ with turno one whistling at 2000.

Steady acceleration upto 4000 RPM accompanied by an increased roar from tubby two.

Very noticeable surge in speed from 4000 onwards.

Sound about right?

i usually get a kick at about 2000-2200rpm dunno about turbo 2 as with all the problems she is giving me right now i aint even pushing her up to that

Sounds about right. Definate rear end kick when no.2 comes online while giving it some stick.

I was at Peter's yesterday and he mentoined what was happening with your car. Endless money pit, huh!

yip your telling me, i have been so lucky with cars i have owned appx 15 cars and not one has ever went wrong apart from the usual wear and tear but i have seriously got a dud

i am going to shell out £200 to get the car on a jigg to see if the chassie has got a twist in it .................then it could be as little as £300 to get it fixed but it could go on to £900

mines aint cause by cold weather, i think the supras chassie is twisted slighty as passenger side front is raised about 1 inch, i have brand new wheels and tyres and brand new suspension all round all less than 1 month old, it was raised before i got everyhting changed and still is raised

so getting it put on a jigg in april to find out if it is that, i must admit i hoping it has got a twist in it then i can get it taken out but its exspensive as if its not a twist then its something else

Starts whistling from about 1800 on my UK car. Lighter Jap ceramics would probably start a touch earlier. After decatting I can here it like mad - with the stock exhaust and no cats it was mental driving through parked cars either side, sounded like the Starship Enterprise
