Hi all, I need some help clarifying the exact colour codes or names that Toyota offically know them as, as Im now just confusing myself. I know there is the standard silver and then the gun metal grey.

Now I was talking with Raymanuk and he told me that he was led to believe that the gun metal grey (my colour) is actually known as quick silver, I thought this was the standard silver colour. He was calling the standard silver alpine silver (thats actually a new one on me), so help, help, help, do we know what Toyota would call this two different types of silver/grey ??

:search:

From Digsy's VIN plate decoder:

202 Black

752 Blue (Storm Blue)

1A1 Brown (MSB)

6N0 Grey (Gunmetal)

6P3 Green

3L2 Red

199 Silver

040 White

576 Yellow

Doesn't mention 1B9 though...

We seem to have a descrepency here then, wheres, bugger who was it.....brb .....and EDITED: Bobbeh, didnt he do a defining list between all the models, not sure if he might have included colours in that.....??

Could be that last link lists export colours only... Never heard of 3 different whites and 4 different red's on Supra's before!

mmmmmmm, think I'll pretend I never saw that link, like you say, just too many colour variations to what I think there should be.........

Hi Ash

You car is definitely Gunmetal. It's not the common light silver colour you see on the older models and it's not that oily slightly greenish grey we call QuickSilver

Jake I wish you were right, that would mean I should be colour code 1B9, but my VIN plate says 6NO
