Just to say a big thankyou To everyone who voted for me to become a Trader :)

I will now be taking on headlights to refurb/customise.
i usually send out lights that have already been refurbed, but sometimes it's quicker to send your own lights for refurbing as when all my are sets out i have to wait till they return, i am still builting up my level of stock, so please pm me first to check availability.
but for the moment i'll be happy to take on headlights send to me.

Update: I have stopped doing angel eyes for a short while, the reason for this is i have been having trouble with my supplier and now things are getting worse. i will continue to do any other service listed above. sorry for any inconveniance this may cause and it will not effect any orders currently in play.

are you able to do anything with bubbling chrome? i wouldnt mind my UK lights being made into facelift style but i want to keep the chrome rings of which one of mine has started to bubble and peel

Im currently looking into having thin chrome rings fabricated so they can be sprayed completely black and the rings fitted over the existing rings afterwards.
the chrome should look brighter too

I'd be interested in buying a set of these thin chrome rings, as mine are doing what Lees have started to do.

Of course this is after I buy a set of UK glass lenses to bastardise the pair into some hybrid soop headlights....

Update on rear lights

i'll be looking at a company next week to make clear reverse lenses for the rear lights. this will save the need for breaking up a set of rear lights to rob the clear lenses.
i'll keep everyone posted on how it goes
Fair play if you can do this. I had to break four sets to get mine, and due to the defuser style plastic the ring doesn't look complete on my lights!

these can be done for any lights, but i do insist that they are done in black as the amount of light reflection you get on stock reflectors blurs the light rings and you end up just a mess of lights.

these are £180 exchange including a refurb

yes you can do, just tap into the wire so they run both :)

make sure you work out what wire is what other wise you'll pop the inverter for the eyes ;)

Just had my lights refurbed and they look great I'm well pleased. Wish I had taken some photos before I sent them in as the difference is shocking they were very yellow when they went in and they still came out clear. :d

Do you make Headlight Covers that just have cut outs for the lights that could be colour coded to your body work ??? I really hate my Yellowey tinge on my Jap Spec headlights and in my opinion they totally ruin the car....

OK, How much would a re-furb cost for my Jap Spec headlights then ??? What would a re-furb include, ahat would they look like ??? and would the lenses still be plastic and eventually fade back to that horrible yellow colour ???

Got mine fitted (by the man himself!) yesterday, and they look fantastic - such a big difference to the car.

Once I've got the car washed, and removed the countless dead bugs from the front of my car, I'll get some pics up.

question is, what colour is the actualy angel eyes themselves, blue is illegal right, is it ony white that would be legal then, also interested in the side lights being the angel eyes if possible.

just had it sprayed in a alfa remao colour its light blue that flips from white though silver in to gold . . blue angel eyes would look the biz

This seems the place to ask this question, ive just bought a 95' model SZ and i was wondering , If i took apart the headlight, could i jus spray the inside of it with a high temp black engine paint to give it the facelift look, also some contrast ;)

or would it crack and be all crappy looking?

i prefer 2 myself

Hi Vicki, i've not got any further on this at the moment but i am currently working on a air scoop to completely replace the drivers headlight :)

i've almost finnished the original so i'll be posting up some pics, then it's just a case of making the mould ect

yeah thats the sort of thing, i have looked around for the best way to do it a while back and i found a perspex company willing to make the tube out of clear perspex, so it will still have a crystal clear apperance :)

i just need to set a side some time to work the rest out.

but yes that's the sort of thing i'll be doing

Thats exactly what i want! will there be any chance of setting up a bulb to come out the main beam light as well as the main beam- if that makes sense! i know its alot to sort but just curious!!

Hi, i got no where with finding clear lenses in the end :( it's just a case of breaking up old lights im afraid. for a full clear conversion it would take 2 pairs of jap lights and 2 pairs of uk lights.

No mate, I have glass Uk and as I need J-spec lights for you to the Ab Flug conversion dont see the point. I have some J-specs lined up ready for you though.........

i can do these in red, but i doubt they would be legal, these would be "off road" only. They can be wired on a seperate switch so they can be turned on when they are needed.

it means the only way of doing these is to find second hand sets to break up for clear lenses, the going rate is £20 ish for second hand rears, or even cheaper if you find a smashed set

I have already cleaned the lenses and sprayed the inside bits but could do with knowing a price before I seal them back up. Also If I was to have Angel eyes I heard it is better to get rid of the chrome rings. is this ture?

Hi Amanda, it depends on where it is peeling, if the chrome rings are ok the they can be kept as they are and the rest can be done black in a facelift style? if you have a pic i can let you know :)

Jon, when you do the facelift look conversion on Jap spec lights with the chrome rings, are the rings painted on or actual chrome inserts? If they're inserts do you sell them separately?

Hi Amanda, i would say white is the closest to being "legal" but i'm sure if they were wired up on a seperate switch then it wouldn't be a problem as they can be switched on optionally.

what headlights have you got? i might be able to do them on exchange if i have them in stock :) (you will need to check the condition of yours though, breaks or cracks etc)

Hi Jon,

I'm hoping to get a set of clear lenses from Gaz and I already have spare pair of j-spec head lights lined up for the mod.

I've been thinking of doing the job myself but I Know there is a very good chance of me bodging the whole thing. So, as you're the resident expert, could I send you the headlights and replacement lenses for you to paint (facelift) with chrome rings and fit the new clear lenses?

If so, please can you tell me how much you will charge for the service and how long it would take?

Sounds great what would the damage be for such a service? As i use the car on a daily basis it would be much easier for me if i could get a set then send you mine so im not without. is there any way we can work this, the second i get them i will be returning my pair

i'll see what i can do then, i have a couple of others in line for lights, but with a bit of luck i should have a few sets turn up any day now :)

My 1998 na lights are past there best and need a referb, I need the car every day so can't send them in without having another pair lol... Have you got any new referbed one's in stock at the mo? Offically mines a facelift and has the chrome rings round the lights :) You can see which one's from my garage pic's I guess.

Hey John, sorry I forgot to look back on the thread... No the chrome rings don't seem to be peeling, just the actuall light lenses on the inside need a good clean up as when the sun is shining they give a slight yellow-ness :)

Offically I need my car, so i'd need lights to swap... I'm not in any rush though mate, so if you could put my name on a set once your back on track mate :) I'll give you a deposit if you like! So you know i'm genuine :) Let me know what you want to do :)

They really do look the mutt's nuts! If you do need your lights refurbed, or updated, you need look no further than here :)

I've attached a couple of photos before, and them some after. Its made a subtle, but a real difference to the look of the car. Great!

Well Folks,

Finally got round to posting pics (movin house computer packed)with the refurbed facelift style lamps with chrome rings. So for those who've been waiting to see them on a green car here goes:

Before - faded yellowing lenses, dull chrome

After - Clear lenses, black body, chrome rings.... Nice!

I'm totally in love with them and i think they make the car look more up to date and a wee bit more aggresive lookin....Next up fog and dipped HID's and sidelight bulbs, do they do them with a green tinge? ;)

Jon, did you get my PM about my headlights. I really want to get this underway. And after seeing the previous post about UK glass with black inserts, instead of buying the Blitz clear lenses and getting you to fit them to an old set of J-Spec lenses, this seems a far cheaper and quiicker turn around.

Can you PM me a price on refurbing UK glass headlights with black inserts please and your address of where to send them and rough turn around time as I will need to steal someone elses lights for the meantime....;)

Glass lights are a straight replacement for plastic j-spec lights. And the best mod you'll make if your lights are starting to go a bit yellow. They look amazing!:cool: You will need to trim the plastic on your bulbs to get them to fit or, if like me, you can't be arsed get some new bulbs from Mr T.(only about £30):)

Basically Jon is having a very tought time of it at the moment i do ask that you bear with him he is not dodging anyone on purpose

Hes also not able to get on the internet much still having issues at home with his connection

I will talk to him again next week and maybe get him over mine so he can use my internet connection

Firstly let me apoligise for my absence over the last few weeks, without going into too much detail i have had a few personal issues that really knocked me for six along with my internet.

Ok mate, hate to do this, but am going to add more fuel.
I paid you for set of lioghts 10th JANUARY,in FULL. Thr first few weeks weren't an issue as I had various problems in my life (see my thread-Does God hate me?). I left a message on your phone 8/9th March telling you that I was off to USA with my step-daughter, and would be back on 24th, after which I expected my lights.Nowt-No PM-nowt.
I then sent you a PM stating that I wanted a refund- Nowt. Ref your post 5th April " all will receive their orders by end of next week". Wheres mine, or are you giving preference to those who haven't paid yet. I seriously doubt that anyone is in the front of the queue before me.
