Gaz6002 Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Hello all We are arranging a meet in Basingstoke on Wed 8th March, starting at the Southbound services on the M3 at Winchester. The plan: we will be meeting around 8PM, chatting for a bit then going for a blast up the A30 from Winchester to Basingstoke, and then terminating at the Wheatsheaf on the A30 for drinks and more chatting! Ark Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 You're probably planning a route almost straight past my front door, so it'd be rude not to join you. Can I make a suggestion? The Tesco car park in Winchester (M3, J9) is pretty much at the start of the A33 / A30 run to Basingstoke, and will stop people being constrained by direction on the motorway. Plus they have 99RON petrol for anyone who needs a topup, and Optimax over the road, if you want the choice. It's a common meeting ground for car clubs - seen the FRP club (Pumas), Westfields, etc meeting there before, so there must be something going for it...
