Just to :bump: this back up, I cannot recommend these enough, the difference it has made to my overall handling is really quite a lot.

For anyone looking to do trackdays/sprints/drag (i.e. me) these are well worth it, and they are very civilised on the road as well. Which is needed as generally the roads here are cr@p. :)

I have the Superstreets with the pillowball topmounts (the pics above are actually mine, you can just se my foot in the final pic :) ), you can raise or lower then however much your want, cant remember the exact figures that are best. If you do a search you would be able to find them, but i've only lowered it by 10mm front and rear, then got the tracking and alignment done straight after as to not to screw up the geometry.

I'll try and take a side shot of the car to show what it looks like on the ground.

what advantage do the pillowball topmounts give? i'm sure i read on here once that they were not worth going for, for some reason

EDIT: it was here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35934

i'm just interested in whether i can get a lovely soft ride for day to day, whilst not having it slammed in terms of lowering the suspensin, but being able to also stiffen it up on demand, i.e. 1/4 mile racing, etc

are they nice and easy to fit & is there any specialist requirement to get the geometry setup by a supra/tein expert or can this be done anywhere?

no real reason for buying them just couldnt be arsed in swapping over 12year old topmounts, plus they make no difference to ride quality, and i mean no extra noise, no lumpyness etc.

Personal choice really for buying them, for the extra it cost it saves a load of time becasue to can just bang these new one in.

not quite sure what you mean here. are you saying that there are stock top mounts on the Supra? and these can replace those?

Yes there are stock top mounts. Basically if you buy the coilovers without the top mounts, then you'd need to dismantle your old shocks, remove the top mounts and on the Tein coilovers first, before installing on your car.

Here is the epc image showing one of the stock top mounts

What he said (makes more sense :) )

its just a 4 wheel alignment which should sort the caster, camber, toe in/toe out.

Im sure that new top mounts do something surely?

Well i suppose it'll benefit you if you're running some crazy camber or castor as it doesnt put as much strain on the top mount, afaik. Someone else would probably be able to explain that part of it better than i can. :D

Great price NIC! i do want a set of superstreet with the EDFC but just a quick question, Is it true that if you buy the suspension off Tein Japan,if something wrong happens Tein UK won't replace it under warranty?

Thanks.

PS Have you got them in stock?

Very basically

Super Streets are designed for street use, ie comfort and road performance

Flex are more of an intermediate street/track set up.

Super Racing is designed purely with track performance in mind.

For full details see here

http://www.tein.com/products.html

I can supply any of the Tein range at very good prices.

Are the threads still suffering from corrosion problems? (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=51450)
