Guest Porker
Spotted a standard silver JDM Supra at my local import place earlier, think it's gonna be on a 93/94 plate. Anyway, its an Auto TT in silver, totally standard and is up for £6750. Is that a good price? What are the Auto boxes like? I've heard they are stronger than the Manual boxes? Sorry, but i'm a proper N00b! :)
Homer
Thats a pretty good price. What is the spec, mileage, condition, etc and more importantly who is the dealer? The auto box is very strong, but will not handle the same power as the Getrag boxes. I think the auto is generally rated as good to 500bhp, the manual, well there's some cars running 1400bhp with them You're best bet is to get to a local meet and have speak to some people, if there's nothing local, then test drive as many cars as possible to see what you like. I'm a die hard manual gearbox fan, but the Supra is the only car where the auto has impressed so much. It would not put me off buying one if a good one was for sale. Best of luck in your search
Guest Porker
Condition looks A1. Not sure on the spec, no leather though I've only been in one Auto, and thats a Non-Turbo on 19's Didn't impress much!
Homer
Leather is pretty rare on the Jspec, only the later or GZ (auto) models really have it fitted. Most that claim to have leather actually have vinyl. Don't get hung up on it, upgrades are available 19's and NA won't give the best impression, 19's ruin the handling and the NA (though good in its own right) is a world apart from a TT, especially once you decatt the TT. terribleturner
I can assure you that you wont be dissapointed with the Auto TT As Darryl says it depends on the spec but that's a good price to start with.

jamesmark
its leather front and rear, electric front on both sides i think but will check as never in the passenger side, also according to the guy that imported it and who my mate bought it off he advised it was factory fitted also got cruise which could have been an optional extra that was paid for
