Hi have just registered in the hope of purchasing an n/a supra.

I have already found one to buy, however have a couple of problems :sos:

First of all i'm 22 so bit worried about insurance anybody know what i'd be looking at.

Also what mpg am i looking at.

The car is perfect and i really dont want to miss this oppertunity. it's even had a new £680 full ss exhaust system fitted in the last couple of months. problem is that i wont be able to keep that it's abit loud for when i would drive it. so i'd also be looking to sell that and replace it with the original system. have the cat just need the rest dammit

any help guys i'm gonna need it

I'm the same age as you with a UK TT (which according to other members can be cheaper than the NA to insure, crazily!), I pay £2300pa with 6 points + 3 points that are now expired but still have to be declared, oh and 1yr NCB. Obviously your situation will be different and so is your location, so the best thing is to get a quote, try Lancaster, Elephant & Confused.com.

MPG wise, I average 16mpg with mainly town driving... On motorway runs I get about 23mpg, but I'm usually booting it, if I was a little less pacey I'd probably get high 20s.

Finally as far as the exhaust is concerned, do you know which one it is? Lots of them come with baffles which fit in the end to silence it. My Blitz Nur Spec-R has this, although I've never used it. If not I'm sure you'll be able to sell the exhaust on here for a good price.

Regards,

Francis

dont listen to the first post, tt only seem to be around the same to insure as its not through a specialist and doesnt know really what the difference is

i believe daston on the forum has a N/A and is paying around 900 fully comp.

im paying 1,700 on a j-spec tt 6speed, with a number of mods. im 21 with 1ncb.

these are both through lancaster, give them a ring and speak to Jessica and ask about their classic policy, assuming your car is 10years old i.e 95,94,93
