Sorry Chris I didn't get back to you on this.

I haven't got the engine cover coated yet, the cover is brand new, but if you want it with the CF look then I will do for £82/exchange for your old one, including delivery to your door.

can you get the rad pipe plastic hanger removed from the cover as well ?

If you post the pic up again Ill show you which bit to remove before you coat it...

How much for it without exchange ?

I don't really want to sell without exchange, I bought the part new so I had a spare one, so I could supply on an exchange basis.

Without exchange, the best price would be £115 delivered.

:yu:

Ah.. in that case it's a problem, if it's been painted I won't be able to re-coat over the top and they are impossible to strip (I've tried :complain: )

So it would need to be on a non exchange basis.

It'll take me a couple of weeks to get it coated. Also let me know which bit you want removing.

Ok,

The bit at the front which normally holds a hanger for the rubber water cooling hose needs to be smoothed off as I dont want it there + I doubt that they would be able to wrap it as its quite a complicated piece...

Ive attached a picture and circled in red the area...

one other thing please make sure that the wrap goes WELL around the inside edge as if it was going to peel up that is where it would start.

Tell me when its coated and you have sent it or your about to send it and Ill send over £

:yu:

Nic - is this a plastic cover to the original or a 'dipped' process that leaves it covered front and back?

Would be interested in one for me depending on the outcome

Paul. I have a non-vvti engine cover supplied by Nic, the first one supplied I beleive. If you check my vb garage you'll find some nice pics of it along with your i/c pipe kit installed.

Looks good - despite the lack of polished bits in there :)

I/C pipes look good!

Is it top and underside of the cover or just top m8?

Its the top, sides back all the bits that you can see. Its not a plastic coating its like its been dipped me thinks. Seens heat resistant, it been in place for 7 months now with no issues.

Hi Paul

This is the original cover that has been dipped. The finished effect is a very deep gloss shine, which is very hard wearing and durable.

It's difficult to apreciate the quality of the finish on a photo
