1st Boxhill Meet of the Year?

Ok, the date has been set for 25th Feb and has already sparked interest in loads of owners clubs.

The meet will start at the usual time from 11:00/11:30 and normally results in a great turnout of Jap cars.

Theirs also news that J Tuner and Japanese Performance will be in attendance with a possibility of one of Banzai's photgraphers also turning up, (clashes with another event).

Meet details will also be published in Banzai's and Japanese Performance's next issues..

Yeah Lui, you tell that to 20 odd Skylines, Pulsars and Supras racing each other along the M25 last year that got of a junction too late.

This pic was taken when we were all queueing to leave to the pub. I was filming and taking snaps. But you are right, get there early to park in the main car park otherwise you wil be in the overflow.

just a shame that the car park is'nt, even with the overflow car parks :( better make sure that we all turn up early enough so we can all park together.The problem is that there are still people in their family cars who go to Boxhill for a day out or a walk in the hills using the car park as well. Last year Laz had his car scratched by a member of the public reversing out of the car park.

Hi, to all attending the Boxhill meet on Sat 25th,I would just like to make people aware of the limiting amount of parking space available for such a large "Jap Car" event. Looking at the number of Supra owners going we would fill a third of the car park ourselves.Therefor I would suggest if you can get their before 12pm you will have a better chance of parking together!
Also would anyone be interested in a mini convoy afterwards to the Fairmile Pub in Cobham, approx' 25 min's away from Boxhill, for a bit of warmth & some Good food! This venue is used as our monthly S.E Meeting point, and was very popular last year with about 17 supras in convoy, ( looked Brill' when we left Box) If so, we could leave Boxhill at 2pm, to gather by the road side from the roundabout back up the hill to the entrance to the car park, same as we done last year! I don't mind leading if you are up for a SUPRA CONVOY.At roundabout turn right onto A24 towards M25, join it at jct 9 (clockwise-Heathrow),go to first jct No`10,Turn right A3 (London).go to first jct(painshill- A245) turn right A245 Cobham. Take first Left at roundabout A307 Portsmouth Rd, FAIRMILE Pub a mile up on left hand side.(Note this route save's going through Leatherhead one-way system)

Update:

As well as the mags attending the event, the OK was given to a professional photographic company who asked if they could attend the event.

They have the facility to supply people with pictures of their cars on the day or through the web, which includes being able to produce manipulated photos showing specific detail in bodywork.

Convoy from Boxhill to the Fairmile pub at 2 pm. We'll start gathering on the road like we did last time at 2. Possibly earlier/later depending on how the day turns out. If the time changes. I will try to hunt down all the Supra owners!

Hi, to all attending the Boxhill meet on Sat 25th,I would just like to make people aware of the limiting amount of parking space available for such a large "Jap Car" event. Looking at the number of Supra owners going we would fill a third of the car park ourselves.Therefor I would suggest if you can get their before 12pm you will have a better chance of parking together!
Also would anyone be interested in a mini convoy afterwards to the Fairmile Pub in Cobham, approx' 25 min's away from Boxhill, for a bit of warmth & some Good food! This venue is used as our monthly S.E Meeting point, and was very popular last year with about 17 supras in convoy, ( looked Brill' when we left Box) If so, we could leave Boxhill at 2pm, to gather by the road side from the roundabout back up the hill to the entrance to the car park, same as we done last year! I don't mind leading if you are up for a SUPRA CONVOY.At roundabout turn right onto A24 towards M25, join it at jct 9 (clockwise-Heathrow),go to first jct No`10,Turn right A3 (London).go to first jct(painshill- A245) turn right A245 Cobham. Take first Left at roundabout A307 Portsmouth Rd, FAIRMILE Pub a mile up on left hand side.(Note this route save's going through Leatherhead one-way system)

I contacted the Fairmile last night to pre-warn them of our arrival today, around 2.30pm. They said that we was very welcome, and we may be able to use our separate room that is always used for the SEM meets. (which is the room on your right as you walk in the doors) I will check this when we arrive at pub with Sarah, the manageress.
Weather looking dry, but bl##dy freezing! Don't forget to get there early if you want to get a parking space, as it will be Very busy.

I turned up just for the convoy from boxhill to cobham but ended up with only another 3 supras in front which was shame! I saw about 6 or 7 supras parked outside the hotel which left first whilst I was waiting for Mark and I was expecting us to all meet down the road somewhere.

On the way out of Cobham I was the last car and had to wait for about a minute for a gap in the traffic by which time everyone was long gone and having never been there before ended up taking a wrong turn and taking a rather scenic route home! I would have enjoyed travelling in that convoy too.

The hotel staff were moaning to me when we parked outside the hotel saying you can’t stop there, it really isn’t a good place for meet IMO.

Nevermind - hazards of the traffic I guess. We hunted back and forth through through Cobham (three times!!) but didn't find the pub. Saw a DB9 and F575 though, which we'd have missed otherwise ;)

Hope everyone else had a good time at the pub. We certainly enjoyed the rest of the day. I'll get the photos posted soon, and some video too (for all the good little boys and girls)

Thanks for your comments about the car! I've only had her 3 weeks and I'm trying to find out myself which front lip it is. Having looked at the link, it does look very similar to that one, But I'm not convinced it is, as my lip has a flatter front face to it, compared with the Whifbitz, which looks like it's front face has a slight curve/dish to it.Also that one seams to have a small lip along the top edge, ware as mine fits a bit more flush.
