Cambelt

Hi,

When i imported my TT it had 64k on the clock. I am aware that Soops should have a service at 60k. On landing, Bonsai said they changed the filters, plugs etc. Now soops have a service light right? so can i take comfort in the fact that this is off, meaning the guy in Jap wouldve changed the cam at 60k like he should have?

Thanks,

D

i wouldn't assume so mate. i'd get it done anyway for peace of mind although the 2jz is supposedly a 'non-interference' engine anyway so if it did snap you 'should' be ok.

take a look at the belt itself, mate. if it's just been done the belt should look brand new shouldn't it?

doh! a local mechanic quoted 150 which i think is a right bargain! anyone found cheaper than this? i was reading a techie article and im sure he said a service light existed - ah well.

about right, I got mine done for £120.. but then I did get a B service (change everything!) at the same time.... so may have been given a bit of a discount...
