mac
dammit!!! im in the raf at lossiemouth, but wont be getting a supra til about june/july........ unless a certain someone sells me his supra on the site early!! :)
hope it goes well, im down glasgow anyway every 2nd weekend more or less to see my girl at uni there.
would be great to meet some of you, even though i dont actually have one yet :(
Yip and about 30 seconds from my pad:ecstatic: Downside though is the local traffic boys. Last time there was a meet they turned up with the vehicle inspectorate, issued tickets for mods not declared, tinted windows, exhausts, number plates the works........ and that was a charity event for a local Childrens hospice......... catch my drift. Took their time going over a number of cars presented and I'm sure some of those lads were constantly targeted afterwards. The local cruize boys then went to local press to say, look we've spent thousands on our cars do you think we're reckless etc etc. Carry out a decent deed only to get the local crime figures up!!! Heck even the off duty ones turned up so as they could have a good browse and then go on the hunt when back on shift....
But hey count me in! There's a crackin loch side road thats dead at this time of year!!
dont scare every one too quick mate lol
alright guys, unfortunately money might be a little tight but i would have loved to have met all you guys from further south.
it doesn't happen to be a white one you're talkin about is it stav (the one that's 'on site'?)
hey guys i live in fife we have a few good places that are more than big enough for a meetmax power were there a few months ago no trouble with cops at all crail raceway is also only a few miles away also posss link both together im not sure if you guys would be interested but let me know and if i can help in any way i can i will
cheers guys
alex
p.s im breaking my accident damaged N/A soup most parts still available!!
We had a meet last year at Brucefield Farm just outside Livingston - it's a good venue because it's out of sight with a decent sized car park, serves food and is welcoming. Nice and centrally located too :)
Howabout making it Thursday 9th February at 8PM? As that's when the Jap car meet is on there anyways - be good to see more of a Supra presence!
Cheers,
Brian.

Good for me, like you say it's out the public eye and less likely to attract the wrong kind of attention.

No reason why we can't do a seperate Supra only meet later in the month but lets try to get as many as possible along to the Jap meet on Thursday 9th @ 8PM as above :)
Cheers,
Brian.
This is close to me so I might persuade my other half to accompany me for a nose!
Won't be taking the Supra anywhere though, its wheels are a disgrace! New ones come Easter hopefully.
I take it any Jap car is welcome??
hi guys
just new to the club and still trying to finalise funds for my dream supra!!!!!
hopefully the readies are just around the corner now.
has there been any details finalised for the scottish meet yet and would it be ok to pop along to meet up???
Hopefully see a good turnout of Supras at the meet on Thursday 9th Feb @ 8PM :)
yeah sounds good mate
i'll try my best to get up through, just dont know what shift im on yet
would be good to get at look at some of the cars and get some more info
still not too knowledgeable on the supras myself yet, but thats gonna change soon i hope......??????
hopefully see u there!
Yes, any jap car is welcome :)
Kevin - that's the good thing about these meets, loads of fellow petrolheads to share knowledge!
A few people have asked me for directions so I'll post them here:
---
1. Get onto the M8 Motorway.
2. Take the Livingston A899 turn-off (Junct 3)
3. Follow the sliproad off to the left onto the A899.
4. Follow the A899 'til its end (about 2 maybe 3 miles) where you will come to Lizzie Bryce's Roundabout (BFO Roundabout with a Shell Garage on your left as you approach it from this direction).
5. Go right at this Roundabout for West Calder (signposted A71 West).
6. Continue along the A71, you will come to another roundabout (about a mile and a half along) - go straight ahead through this one.
7. Continue along the A71, this is a very short straight stretch 'til you come to yet another roundabout (Livingston for ya!).
8. Turn off left into Brucefield Industrial Estate, where there is a very short stretch of road 'til you come to a mini-roundabout.
9. Turn right at this mini-roundabout.
10. Watch out for Brucefield Farm, you turn right into it about 50 metres after that mini-roundabout.
thanks for that!!
i'll see if my mate is up for an all expenses paid journey up in his mr2t
just checked my rota for the next few weeks, and miraculously thurs is the only day im off that whole week (perfect timing!!) so i should be there.
worst case scenario i'll need to come up in my company car (astra) , but i promise if thats the case, i'll hide it in the bushes somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep - good meet guys :) Nice to see such a large turnout of Jap metal including Supras! :)
Good to meet a couple of Supra folk I havent seen before.
Irvy, that exhaust is making me want something louder (and I'm already decat and exhaust!)
Yeah, post those pics up.
Glad i went along to the meet and thanks for the warm welcome from the supra guys oh and to tDR for spotting me and my mates as we entered the pub as it felt weird at first.
Glad i got to go out in a BPU sup thanks Irvy, and still recovering from our little run the three of us took with the mr2 ha ha you know what im talking about Getrag
will be at the next meet for sure and will try posting pics once i get my camera back
No probs m8, hoepfully we can continue to fill the car park at the jap meets. They aren't always at Brucefield, roughly every 2 in 3 of them are there. I will keep posting up the details in this section though :)
It can be overwhelming for new people to the meet especially as there's always a group of regulars - with that in mind don't be afraid just to plonk yourself in the middle of it, there's loadsa friendly guys that go and many that really know their stuff about modding turbo'd cars. To make this easier, it best to come to the meet 8PM sharp if you're new as everyone hangs around the car park for a little while first so easier to get talking and get to know folk :meeting:
I had a good time that night...and stayed out late!!! didnt get home till after 12:D
Nice to meet so many great lads on the night. Roll on sunday:)
I took some pix on my phone...but with the cold and poor light they were all shaky...sorry about that
Irvine
Yeah, totally agree, good night, and good to meet new faces interested in the same scene!
I just kept a low profile most of the night trying to find out more supra info etc. (dont think we even got a chance to introduce Brian?).
Went for a run in Grugg's new toy :D (WOW!!). Just dont want to torture myself too much until I have finally bought a soop.
Thanks to all the guys who made us newbies feel very welcome, and hope to catch up soon at other meets! (hopefully in slightly warmer weather).:respekt:
SunnyG83- how did you get on finding those supra clips i was telling you about?:search:
If you're having problems finding them PM me and i can send you a copy mate.

Argh make me cry why don't ya :(
Sorry mate!
I know its gotta hurt. But at least you've been there, done that.
And a prime example was the result too!:respekt:
Im still searching for my first supra, and know for a fact that it'll NEVER match that one.:(
Raising this thread from the dead as I'm on hols in Tunisia and don't have time to do another - just to let everyone know there's another Jap meet at Brucefield Farm this Thursday 9th March 2006, again at 8PM and with the same details as before. Hopefully see some of you there - I just get back from hols that day.
Have updated thread title with new date.
Cheers,
Bri.
