Vacuum reading- quick Q

Just a quick question -Is a reading of -0.55 bar normal for a vaccum reading-

Ye -searched but can't do the conversions etc. /

If the engine is still cold then it's OK
If it's at operating temp then you'd expect a bit more, say 0.6 ~ 0.65bar.
Also test it while coasting with the throttle closed, you should see max vacuum then.

yep its at -0.6 bar when warm.

vacuum/boost leaks will reduce the vacuum.
(remember that there are legitimate, controlled leaks, like the idle valve for example)
