I have wheel spacers on my aristo. What long term effects do they have on wheel bearings, and suspension bushes and ball joints etc etc? The blitz wheels on my aristo are 8 1/2" J 19" 38 offset with a 15 mm or maybe bigger spacer. Why would someone buy aftermarket alloys that need spacers to make them fit ffs???
If you HAVE to have spacers, I'd say make sure that they are proper spigotted ones, and TUV approved (but personally, I don't like them).
Edit:
And the wheels are now ET23 offset, which is a long way from ET50.

The ones fitted are bolted onto the discs in a big way. So big a way I need a special tool to get them off which I don't think came with the car :( Not a problem unless for instance you have a set of UK brakes waiting to go on the car.
Very informative links here, that were posted a few months ago by Gareth

I hate having spacers, but mine are only 3mm. The hassle of getting longer studs / hollow nuts etc and still worrying about their stability makes me wish I'd bought wheels that fit properly in the first place :(
That said it was done so I could fit UK brakes so it's not all bad ;)
