Some oil change controversy. Oilman will love it ;)

I'm pretty sure Oilman has said 6,000-9,000 is fine, with proper oil. But that it depends on the use.

A track day will break the oil down and subject it to lots of sheering stresses...and if you're running too rich maybe some contamination from fuel.

This is when you need to change regularly.

Using a crap air filter....will enable oil contamination...thus you'll need to change regularly.

If it's a stock to BPU car with decent filters for it's entire life etc....9,000miles with good oil like Ester based Silkolene. It would be longer IF it's an NA but the Turbo's do also introduce thermal stresses.
