Hi All
I noticed last night whilst driving down a rather dimly lit road that it looked like I had no lights on at all so I got out and had a look - only the sidelights working! So, when I got back home, I had a quick look under the bonnet with the engine running and the main beam switched on, on the stalk. As soon as I slightly turned the main beam bulb assembly - it burst into life. Same with the other side. I didn't touch the wiring connector, just slightly turned the unit in it's slot. There is no electrical connection here is there, its just a plastic locking slot isn't it? Why would they both fail around the same time and then suddenly burst back into life again when I slightly turn them in their slots? Got a damn MOT tomorrow too - I BET they don't work then either!
Has anyone else had anything the same or similar?
Help appreciated!
Paul

im having same problem as mo with drivers side!! i pop bonnet unclip air box into the light bit and it comes on everytime :D

Think it is the connector into the back of the light might need cleaning for better connection

I did pull the connector off the bulb on the driver's side and the two terminals looked okay - and the bulb tip spades looked corrosion free. Very odd - Mr MOT will laugh tomorrow when I go steaming over and pop the bonnet when they are testing the lights. "Hang on! Just got to wiggle this... Right, try it now...!!"
God, make them work for my MOT. Please! I'll start going to church and everything!
