hondaboy
Looking for a 3.0Ltr n/a, as i haven't hade one before i could do with some help, what to look out for, how to spot a dog, common problems that you've experienced. Price range of about 6K, or an integra type R (not that i think you'd be interested). Cheers

Whitesupraboy2
6k will get you a nice NA mate, but regarding this please do a search first. As i think we even have a FAQ on what to look for on buying. Wish i could tell you where to find it lol Welcome though, once you drive one...the integra wont even be a choice!! lol

hondaboy
insurance is a stinger for the integra and i think a turbo would be too expensive, are they no good?

hondaboy
Nice on Getrag, i'll get that in mind. there is one on autotrader in your area but its red, not the end of the world but blacks in this season!
Spyda
My real advice would be don't rush into anything, when the right [supra] comes along you'll know it. Also make sure you test drive a few so you know what to expect comparatively. Adam.
Todd
but blacks in this season! And it's faster Joking aside, you ever driven one? Why an N/A, lots of folk think the insurance is cheaper, not strictly true, I found the quotes for the N/A to be more. Going on other threads here the TT aint that heavier on running costs. Just throwing some stuff into the mix
hondaboy
well also, coming from a honda(front wheel drive), i'm a bit concerned about the rear wheel drive combined with twin turbo power, it's hard to bin a type R even in the wet, just think it'll be a different story in the toyota. Todd
it's hard to bin a type R even in the wet Great handling motors, was into preludes myself but went to a Honda day up at crail a few years back and got taken round the track in a type r, well impressed. hondaboy
Crail! partly the reason why i want a supra, seeing them create huge plooms of white smoke at the run up! Impressive.

RobSheffield
imi, i hope your a one off. helpful? aye later! haha, i think he may be tired... i own a TT, and my brother owns a Honda Integra Type R, i drive both quite a lot. Now ok, yes, the TT is a handful in the wet, but in the dry, its a different story. people seem to feer the supra TT in the wet, and there are a number of misconceptions! yes, drive like a fool and you WILL crash, but treat it with respect and you will be fine! the pedal doesnt HAVE to go right to the bottom! drive a TT, drive an NA, (id go for the NA first:D ) see which you like most.....there isnt much between them financially, but a LOT between them in every other way! and if your next question was going to be auto or manual, then same there - drive both. neither is better than the other - ust one suits one type of driver, the other a different type of driver.. hope i was of some help.
