DO NOT POST COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS HERE - THIS IS FOR ATTENDEES ONLY

Watched the DVD of the old trips that we did over to Belgium and France and got me thinking what a great time we all had...so...

Looking to arrange a really good trip down to Le Touquet (or perhaps further) on one of the following dates

May 20 2006 Weekend

http://www.pierreetvacances.com/scripts/fiche_produit.php?id_ofr=232&langue=fr

Meeting up with French cars / jap car owners (who love the soop!) - I have contacts over there

Arranging the whole thing to be filmed and look at some nice press stuff (I have mate in PR to get this happening properly this time!!) and DVD to follow - which believe me is a lovely momento for the future

You have just got to try the roads over there!! :)

Itinery proposal...

Saturday

- Early Tunnel over to Calais (special rates for party bookings etc)
- Drive down to Le Touquet (70 kms approx)
- Late Lunch arranged with French car buffs etc
- Free afternoon
- Dinner / Drinks later all together
- Accommodation (secure car parking)

See attachments

Sunday

- Drive to destination TBC - maybe First world war sites @ Amien etc?
- Lunch / Picnic
- Drive back to Calais for some shopping
- Drinks and meal up at Car park and more Frenchies
- Tunnel back approx 8.30pm

Ideas and input always welcome

We need a minimum of 10 cars confirmed that they want to go to make it worthwhile IMHO - which i am sure we can get together (but no half hearted stuff - this needs to be genuine lets go!!..stuff)

Happy to throw open my doors if anyone from oop north needs to stay over on the Friday night etc...and expect there are a few others who will do the same too..

I will arrange a group tunnel booking for 40 supras (lower floor) which will hopefully be about £40.00 per car for a return ticket

Hotel Accommodation (inc breakfast) will be booked on a 3 per house basis and will be approx £50.00 per person

Dinner (at the resort) on the Saturday Evening will be about £30.00 per person inc wine

Other costs to be split between the group (approx £7.00 per car)

Nightporter to look after cars £150.00
Simons Crossing / costs (for the DVD production) £90

Own costs to bear

Drinks !
Petrol !
Lunch Sunday
Shopping

I will be going across to visit the area in the new year to recce the possibilities of where we can go etc / places to see

Check last post on older/larger thread, I think there are some new names/cars. Recommend new aspiring attendees post there and we could keep one running post to this thread updated, which should keep it shorter. Recommend you edit that post so there's no confusion. This looks to be a great time. I know I'm excited about it. Can't wait to see you guys coming off the train.

You aint going to make it to the Normandy Landings sites from Le Touquet and back to Calais in a day.

The Normandy beaches (Gold/Sword/Juno/Omaha etc) are west of Honfleur which is about 170 miles from Le Touquet.

Sorry for posting here despite the request not to do so, but: can we not have one of those "I will be attending this event" jobbies? Might make your life a little easier dude.

Thank you once again for organising this monster :respekt:

Space 39 now filled, phew I thought we might miss out on this, reading through all 17 pages of the other thread was a heart stopping moment when it was mentioned that max number of cars was 50, and the thread is already at 46

Please don't let this be cancelled, we are fairly new to the club and this looks like it's going to be an awesome event. Paul I don't know what's gone on, but all I can say I take my hat off to you for organising this event, top bloke - don't give up all the hard work that you have done. I am sure that everyone on this thread feels the same way.
