Help! I'm screwed (or not)

You shouldn't have any problems at all drilling it out, nice sharp drill though.

You set an impact screwdriver to turn either CW or ACW then hit the end with a hammer, it will turn it and give you a better grip on the screw.

Don't be worried about drilling it out, you basically don't have to drill very deep. You're just wanting to remove the head of the screw.

A nice sharp 6mm drill.

You'll have to replace the screw anyway.

Ok now I'm slightly confused, so I need to remove the head of the screw? By drilling it out I thought you just meant put a phillips headed drill bit and off i go! I'm confused!

I meant drill it out with a standard drill.

Or use a impact screwdiver with a philips bit.

Glad you got it sorted! :D

Might be worth a go. Get a very small socket set- the compact box types you can get. Find the socket that is just a little smaller then the screw head. bash this onto the screw so that it bites into the head of the srcew. then turn. I have remove a screw like this before .

Should have read the above- anyway a tip for next
