View Full Version : Cars wanted for film... (South East)
There is a new film called Dolphins being released in cinemas next year. They are currently filming around the Brighton area. (Using my 300zx as a main car )
They have asked if I could help get some cars together for a 'cruise' type scene they are filming. Cars will be required Tueday and Wednesday and will need to be able to get to Newhaven/Brighton areas.
I've watched a fair bit of the film develop over the last few weeks and it's looking pretty good and very professional. (People from Emmerdale and Lock Stock in it)
If you want the full details send us a pm and I'll forward locations and times etc on.

Take what they say if you want to. personally I think it might be ok and not to chavvy!
Hmm difficult to know. Would love to have my car in a film but not up for doing anything illegal to get it in.

It was a cold call done tonight! bit short notice for a "professional outfit" don't you think? meet in a car park, and they want doughnuts:sly: and apparently its about an old Capri! i think you will find that its been posted on some of the baseball and hoody populalated sites to, so i'm pretty sceptical, and i could go along as i'm only 30 mins away.
Oh fair point...on this website its gunna be in the cinemas and the other one its a "low budget" movie....not 100% long way for me to go as im in cambs at the moment!

I can see their point I guess but the film is going to be made regardless. 2F2F as a film doesn't really portray modders in a good light but it didn't exactly hurt the value of the cars involved either did it?
Not for me. I can just imagine a scene where a spotty oik in a chaved Capri goes racing past the orange beast - I think not!

think ash is going down to that (white supra) capri i hear is puting out big power but still think its well out classed by the supra in style alone
Hmm. That post is concerning. I was told by the car co-ordinator to keep the location low-key to avoid the chav brigades turning up although they did want some non-jap modified cars to make it look like a genuine cruise style scene.
From what I've seen so far it is being done very professionally, the first day of filming must have equalled about 5 minutes of film time. It is full on camera's on rails, lighting and sound crews etc.
And I can confirm the Capri being used is pretty mental. Running over 600bhp plus nitrous and 15" wide rear tyres. It's worth coming to have a look anyways even if you don't want your car on film just to see what goes on. It's pretty interesting stuff.
Update??? Is it worth coming along on wed???
my sup is,nt that good at the moment so it can,t be on film . but might take the day of to be nosey
Wednesday evening would be the best time to pop along if you're going to travel a distance.
The film is low budget for the film industry, that doesn't mean it's a guy with a camcorder though. They've got the full works with regards to equipment, from proper flat bed camera vehicles, sound crew, co-ordinators etc. If you'll lucky, last time they had a few cars turn up, everyone got free pizza!!
