Hi there....for sometime now Ive had a loose knocking one the front end as I go over speedbumps or rough roads.the mechanic thought it was loose topmounts..had them done to know avail.....Is it likely to be shocks??? if so is it better to get standard replacements or is it worth uprating them to something like Koni's??? Or could it be something else....the bit between the shocks and the wheels??? don't wanna waste my hard earned pennies! Cheers!!

Hi mate

I have the same problem, and have been told that it is the 'anti-roll bar bushes'. I am getting it looked at this weekend, but I had exactly the same symptons on my MR2 as well and it turned out to be the bushes.

Not that expensive to replace, which is good news.

Will let you know if it turns out to be them.

Nick
