Most people seem to go for the staggered HKS 256in/264ex cams. But then i have the 264in/264ex, seem ok to me.
Dont bother with the HKS pulleys though, been reports of them failing. Stick with the stock ones.

I've had my HKS cam pulleys on for over 6 years and they were absolutely fine when I checked a few weeks ago.

Rob, I'd go in256/ex264, this should give you more in the mid to top end.

I think its also been dyno proved that the stock timing gives the best results.

Do a search as this has been talked about a few times before :)

HKS cams are very good as are Jun but V. expensive....Pulleys are not worth bothering with in my opinion.....wont give a massive power gain if any stick with the stock ones. + have heard the HKS ones chafe the shit out the belt....although some have had them and have had no probs wiv em, your decision :nyah:

I wouldn't/haven't bothered with pullies either mate. Especially as I actually know at least two people that have personally had them fail. (wear out with potentally disasterous results, although I believe HKS have redone these now).

I was one of the people who had the HKS pulleys strip the cam belt teeth - never again. In hindsight, I would also question why I, or anyone else, bothers to fit adjustable pulleys. I never thought of adjusting them and I would assume most people would be the same - so what's the point?

Yeah I was the other. Also when we had the purple car engine on the engine dyno we found the stock cam settings the best compromise.

256/264 on that car too. Good for a road combination.
