Mileage today is 25,300, and since the last week of July, all is fine.

Yeah, not what I would class as a Grade A technical fix, more of a lucky stab in the dark....
One good things come of the original problem though, as it was the reason I decided to finally join up ....thats good for me, jurys still out for you guys;)

It's good news but I'm still struggling to come up with a good solution for those with single turbo's and the NEED to use a non stock filter.

Having said that, I've cooled the area around the MAF (which has the temp sensor in it) considerably via a heat shield and direct cold air feed to the intake....however it's heat soak that does it....and when I'm not travelling of course there is no air movement to cool it. Maybe a few PC fans are required lol.
