View Full Version : My petrol consumption just shot right up

Its taken a very noticable increase over the last 2 days. Now a couple of things have happened at the same time. The last 2 days have been the coldest yet, freezing each night and ive been driving in it. Peak boost has also went up by approximately 0.2bar (which i try to avoid).

Now is this just the ECU upping the fuel to match the denser air or is there anything else to worry about like O2 sensors or whatever?

Oh, and will an ECU reset be in order?

Thanks, G.

Worth a try - don't cost nothing...unlike fuel.

in this mode under 4000 my fuel consumption is very much reduced due to no boost:woot: but if and only if i boot it wich is not that often due to sideways effects its as normal.. and no boost spike as of yet:D but i'm going to be walking to work soon as chris wilson is gonna be getting some money and i am gonna be fitting new toys...can't wait

I went back to seq mate, found i couldnt use the car prop in this weather cause... no power, no power, wheel light up. No winning lol.
Looking forward to going back though miss TTC
Any ideas when you would be able to do the switch mate?
Oh and did you get your switch working? what was wrong with it

Right, so Ill try an ECU reset and see if that clears things up. After that, what should I be thinking of?
