PW lower lip

The PW lower lip doesn't seem to follow the exact contour of the stock front section. Where the bumper tucks in, as it curves around to meet each front wheel, the PW add-on curves outwards. Well, it does on the one I have.

I know Phil has fitted one and maybe others have too. Is this correct?

If so, how have you got around flexing the the stock bumper to make the same shape so as to meet with the PW lip. Also, what did you do with the ally strips that go around the bottom of the stock bumper, just bend them to a more shallow radius?

Thanks in anticipation.

J,

Yes you are right I do have on of Paul’s lower lips fitted to my car, see members section images.

It has been a while since I fitted it, but it does follow the line of the bumper once fastened to  the car.

I did not make any alterations to the ally strips. I seem to remember, starting form the centre and working one fixing point at a time no alternate sides of the car until it fitted. I remember being a little worried that it would not fit as when held up to the car it did not appear to match up to well.

Thanks for your speedy reply.

Basically, that's what I have done, i.e. offer it up to the stock front and it doesn't seem to mate too well. So I thought, before I begin fitting it, I'll ask around to see if there is some issue I should know about.

Okay, so I'll do the same as you and see how it works out.

Thanks again.

Yours,

J
