Car meets

That's not an easy question to answer the term 'cruises and car meets' is too broad. If its a bunch of cars parked up with people talking to each other etc then I think they are ok.

If its a bunch of chavs doing wheel spins, smoking the tyres, speeding up and down, racing each other, sound offs etc and lots of spectators cheering everyone on to go faster then I don't think much of them.

There are a lot of "meets" organised on the forum, a vast majority are static or involve a convoy to a particular venue. These are always friendly, safe and 'police friendly'. Quite a few are organised in conjunction with other owners clubs and there is no 'cruising', donuting and that sort of crap going on. A good example of this type of meet is the monthly Reading one which involves something like 20 Jap car clubs.

'Cruising' and non-approved events that generally involve the Saxo/Nova boys are best steered clear of. I've been to the Reading 'Sunday evening' meet outside Halfords once and it was just full of chavs and general scum. The police don’t approve of these sorts of meets for a good reason. The people generally act like twats, seen a couple of 'scuffles', but a lot or seriously dangerous driving by kids that really have no clue what they're doing and no respect for other drivers.
