Ok guys and girls. I know it's late in the day, but I will try and get this sorted as soon as possible. Waiting for confirmation off Fairmile, Cobham as to which dates they have free in December but thought a pole is worthwhile as December is a socially busy time of the year.

So which date(s) are you free??

Details of location are here:

I've voted, but may not be coming. Just got no money this year I can't afford to go out anywhere really.

I'm interested but can't commit on a date yet - they are both looking okay at the moment but theres a family do looming around one of those weekends - should there be an option "interested but cant confirm yet"? :-)

Im definately interested in being involved in some kind of Xmas-do as I wont be attending the works one cos its either boring, or some poor unfortunate drinks too much, does something stupid, and then gets his P60 in the Christmas post! I might have trouble as one of the emergency services in commiting to a date though until last moment

Would be nice to do it again, was good last year!

BTW non-southerners are also welcome!! There is a travel lodge type thing next door if you book fast enough...

No that i have a problem with the location, but wouldn't it make more sesne to make it more central?? I'm just think for members from Cornwall and Devon who may consider going it may be a little far. Plus to me anything below Watford is South, but to those who think the divide is further up maybe Cobham isn't so convienent for everyone. Just a suggestion as i have no answers.

I'll be moving along now :D

I think if there was more time available then more venue ideas could have been explored, I strongly suspect that Ray has picked the Fairmile because thats where last years party was and its a known quantity.
Despite the more south east location over 70 tickets were sold last year so I'm not convinced the location put people off.

Maybe for future BIG meets we could find a central place. I can recommend the Waterman in Solihul. Big car park we used to have MGR meets there.

Err, yeah Trev, but isn't that further from Cornwall, than Cobham :whip:

Watch it you! :p I meant because it's a central location overall - but then those kind of meets tend to get less people than having 2 seperate north and south meets.

Southampton somewhere? Major links!

How about Hayling Island? That'd be perfect!!

Not sure if this has already been said - & it's to late at night to read all the replies !

It was mentioned that we could make the next SEM (December) into an unofficial Xmas do.

If this one doesn't come off - it's a good idea.

Cheers

PS... hi Katie x

PPS... the x was a just a peck on the cheek OK.

PPPS... The last PPS was just in case Laz reads this (Hi Laz) !

I'am still up for meeting at the Fairmile on Tues' 6th for the usuall SEM meet. (last one this year) Hope all the regulars can come & maybe some more. As for the Xmas "do" on the 11th, I think time is very tight to try and organise this as Dec' is a very busy time for a lot of people.

PS Need to add SEM on Calendar for the 6th

As this one seems to have fizzled out, can you guys that we don't usually see at the Fairmile get to the December SEM / unofficial Xmas do ??

Would be nice to have a big crowd there especially new faces.

Rob,
Cobham is the usual South East Meet and it is at the Fairmile in Cobham which is near Sheena's. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&GridE=-0.40940&GridN=51.32890&lon=-0.40940&lat=51.32890&place=Cobham,Surrey&db=freegaz&scale=100000&search_result=Cobham%2CSurrey&lang=&keepicon=true

it is on the 6th of December but it always happens every 1st tuesday of each month.
